Wepik, Freepik Company’s new tool for SMEs and entrepreneurs
Freepik Company, the leading company in the graphic resources sector, continues supporting its commitment to expand its product offering with the launch of Wepik, a completely free tool for creating custom designs aimed at entrepreneurs and small companies that need to create or renew their graphic or digital image, but do not have much time or enough knowledge to tackle this task.
Wepik brings together 6500 templates which can be used to create any graphic piece users may require for their corporate communications, with no need for the help of a design professional and in just a few minutes.
Wepik allows users to design everything from their logo to a business card, including infographics, posters or even a restaurant menu, all in an easy, personalized way. There are also templates for creating digital content, such as Instagram stories, blog headers, backgrounds for Zoom and even memes.
All Wepik templates are self-produced, created by the Freepik Company team and they are fully editable, as they can be completely modified by changing colors, images or any design element they contain. Plus, it’s possible to add images from Freepik or Pexels, icons from Flaticon, illustrations from Storyset and lines or emojis to make sure they completely meet users’ needs.
According to Alejandro Sanchez, co-founder and current CPO (Chief Product Officer) of Freepik Company, “we have always had the idea of democratizing design, bringing images and quality resources not only to design professionals, but also to users who, even though they’re not experts, need access to editing tools to improve the image of their business, their networks or their advertising flyers. Wepik is taking a step further in this direction by providing SMEs with exclusive, free, high-quality templates so that their company’s image meets expectations, and they can focus on offering their customers a great product or service.”
Wepik is a product developed in Freepik Labs, the Freepik Company’s project incubator founded in 2020, which works as its own digital accelerator, developing and innovating new projects. Gladys Vila, Freepik Labs Head of Product, highlights the growth of Wepik, “we’ve been working on this product since 2021 and even though we haven’t launched it officially till today, we’ve seen an organic traffic growth of 780%, which indicates to us that Wepik is interesting and useful for our users. Our prevision for this year is to reach half a million of active users and to position Wepik as the referent tool for small businesses and entrepreneurs by helping them to improve their brand with a costless professional design”
