Freepik ranks first in traffic of all stock sites

Freepik, the world’s largest platform of free graphic resources, continues to reach new milestones. This time it has achieved the first place in traffic of all stock sites, according to Similarweb’s June visit estimate, and consolidates its position as a global leader in graphic resources.

For the first time, Freepik.com with 68.3 million visits in June surpasses its main competitor Shutterstock.com, with 66.4 million, and thus becomes the most visited stock platform in the last month. Freepik also ranks 392nd in global positioning, which classifies website traffic compared to the rest of the world’s sites, while Shutterstock ranks 519th.

This data comes from the June estimates of the Similarweb platform, which defines itself as the official measure of the digital world, as it provides web analytics and offers users information about the traffic and performance of any site.

This new achievement adds to its 17th place ranking in the Europe, Middle East and Africa Best Sellers list and 43rd place ranking in the G2 Best Software Awards 2022 Best Design Products, the annual list that ranks the world’s best software companies and products based on authentic and relevant feedback from real users. As well as 125th in Alexa’s worldwide ranking, an industry standard that rates and evaluates websites, which also placed it above Shutterstock, which ranked 146th.

The different recognitions are evidenced by data from the platform, as Freepik users currently download more than 80 million graphic resources per month, which they choose from among the 25 million included in the platform, created by internal designers and photographers, the 450 exclusive remote designers and more than 21,000 contributors. These figures have positioned Freepik as an essential tool for designers around the world.
